Appreciation

Over the years of Hope House Mexico's existence, many individuals and organizations have donated projects to advance the capabilities of Hope House and enhance its ability to provide hope to the boys and a positive manner.  We appreciate each of the donors and acknowledge their support.  The list on the right consists of all the donated projects, the date of completion and the source of the particular donors.  

 

Original House

August 2008

The Smart Family Foundation provided the funding to purchase the Hope House property.  Originally built as a standard family home several remodel projects and upgrades have been constructed to make it suitable as an orphanage

Workshop and Apartments

July 2009

 Joan Van Gutner and Richard Bailey provided the funding for a two story building was erected on the vacant lot.  This provided space for apartments upstairs and workshop below.

Garden

July 2009

The Rotary Club of Ajijic provided the funding to build the initial agricultural center for life skills training

 

Chicken Coop

October 2009

The Rotary Club of Ajijic provided the funding for a chicken coop for life skills training

Van

March 2010

Rotary Club of Ajijic joined forces with the Rotary Club of Langley, BC in Canada to purchase a van for transportation to and from school, church and doctors.  

Workshop Power Tools

March 2010

Rotary Club of Ajijic joined forces with the Rotary Club of Langley, BC in Canada funded the power tools for the wood shop to advance the life skills and vocational training.

Workshop Benches and Cabinets

November 2010

The Rotary Club of Ajijic provided funds to purchase materials to build workbenches and cabinets for the work shop.  

Dining/Kitchen Facility

April 2011

The Smart Family Foundation provided funds to properly remodel the kitchen and dining facility to feed up to 80 persons.

Kitchen Cabinets

September 2011

The Smart Family Foundation provided the funds to built all the cabinets for the kitchen in the workshop.

Kitchen Granite

December 2011

The Smart Family Foundation provided the funds necessary to purchase and install granite on all counters throughout the kitchen.

Kitchen Appliances

February 2012

The Rotary Club of Ajijic provided the funds to purchase and install commercial quality appliances.

Transition House

March 2012

The Way Ministries has provided both labor and materials to make this dream come true

Aquaponics

October 2012

Duarte Design, The Kings Academy and locally St. Andrews Church provided the funds to  construct an aquaponics system for life skills and vocational training.

Solar Electric

April 2013

Rotary Club of Ajijic coordinated with several Rotary Clubs to provide a solar electric system.  This has help reduce the operational cost of the home.

Solar water

April 2013

Rotary Club of Ajijic organized with other Rotary Clubs to purchase a solar water system.  This has help reduce the operational cost of the home.

Retaining Wall

July 2012

The Smart Family foundation provided the original funding for the retaining wall.  Other teams have come to continue building it.
